Brigade Brothers, family and friends: On September 23, 2020 President Trump was kind enough to host a group of us to honor Brigade 2506, its members, and its martyrs. It was an event that once again has highlighted the importance of the Brigade in the historical process of Cuba and of our efforts to achieve freedom and sovereignty.
Our group's reception at the White House was impeccable and extremely friendly by President Trump, Vice President Pence, and their assistants. The ceremony took place in the well-known and elegant "East Room" where many US flags were flying behind the stage...and in the left corner there was a separate and special American flag and next to it the flag of Brigade 2506. Seeing this display was very exciting for me and for the rest of the group.
The President spoke highly of the Brigade and its members and thanked us with great sincerity for the support we lend to his efforts to free Cuba, the region and the world of injustice and tyranny.
